BREAK POP RECORDS - Demo Submission Policy o

Q: Do you accept demos?
We are currently accepting demos.

Q: How do I go about getting you my demo?
Please have your record archived, and uploaded.
Email us your link, and a little bit about why we (and the world at large) should care.

Q: How long should the demo be?
Generally, first records are near 20 minutes (listeners have short attention spans...)-
so we are looking to see how you fill up 20 minutes.

Q: What do you release?
We stand by our record releases, and we hope you stand by your work too.
It would help if you listen to one of our records before you send us yours.

Spend a few years learning how to make music before blindly submitting us your records.

Q: Is there a particular style you expect?
Yes and no. We represent a great many styles here, each as different as the artist responsible-
We're looking for creativity and the Artist's vision. That said, our name is "Break Pop Records"
So if your music doesn't revolve around a 'Break' of some kind- you might be at the wrong place.

Styles we traditionally represent-
jungle/punk/noise/blues/breakcore/surf/hip-hop/idm/ambient/jazz/ragga/mashup/grind/pop/classical

Q: What formatting do you require for my submission?
please give us .mp3 and zip/archive your tracks ( accepted file formats are: .zip. rar .7z ).
We prefer all submissions be uploaded to the web ( Private web server, file hosting service, etc )
as opposed to sent through mail. Then, email us with your demo's web link. See above.
Email Attachments accepted only from known sources.

Q: About how long does it take to hear back about a submission?
It varies. We try to stay current on all our mail, but listening to submissions can take much longer.
We try to give every demo a second listen, if we can. Unfortunately sometimes demos will sit buried
for one reason or another, but mostly you will recieve a prompt response. Usually 1-2 months on the early side,
6 months on the long side. We try to send a response to all submissions (like it or not) so you know we got it.

Q: Do you accept donations, or is there a way I can pay for a physical copy of a record?
We will have a paypal link soon, for those of you who support what we do.
